Is MindYourself app for all health and social care professionals?

Yes for anyone working in these sectors, this is the app for you.  The content is tailored for those working in these industries and it specifically prevents and addresses conditions such as burnout, stress, moral injury, trauma and compassion fatigue.

 

Can I download the app as an individual from health and social care?

At this stage in the MindYourself app development organisations purchase the app and provide anonymised access for their workers. We hope that in 2023 MindYourself app can be purchased by individuals around the world.

Can I use this app as part of my home life as well as my work life?

The coping skills developed through using MindYourself app are transferrable across a number of areas, including our personal lives or those outside of work such as stressful, distressing or anxiety provoking situations.

What is the evidence the content is based on?

The content draws on three approaches which are as effective psychological treatment for a number of mental health conditions, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

ACT encourages people to embrace their thoughts and feelings rather than fighting or feeling guilty for them.

DBT helps people learn skills to cope with very intense emotions.

CBT approach supports people to manage their difficulties by changing the way they think and behave.
